Coromandel Express, Indian Railways: After the deadliest train accident occured due to the derailment of Coromandel Express, the train is now going to resume it's journey from today, ANI report. As per Aditya Choudhary, Coromandel Express is going to resume it's journey from Wednesday June 07. The starting point is from Shalimar station in West Bengal to Chennai Central in Tamil Nadu.
Indian Railways CPRO Aditya Kumar Choudhary updated about the resuming of Coromandel Express from today. "Coromandel Express will run on time from today, departure time from Shalimar is 3:20 P.M, train journey will resume on time" says CPRO Aditya Kumar in a conference with ANI.
In a tragic turn of events, more than two hundred passengers lost their life due to various negligence by the Indian Railways. Coromandel Express was the first train collided at the Bahanga Station, the engine crushed into the iron goods train. Thousands of people are still injured including 288 train passengers lost their lives in this accident.
As per Jaya Varma, the locomotive pilot of the Coromandel Express is still alive. Aditya Kumar Choudhary stated "loco pilot of the Coromandel Express is alive and his treatment going on at Bhubaneswar". Coromandel Express was suspended for two days after the occurrence of derailment at Bahanga Station. The train journeys will re commence from today at its scheduled time departing Shalimar station at 3:20 PM and arriving and Chennai Central at 10:30 AM.
Trains passing from Bahanga bazar station was stopped after the accident, however services will be resume from this track. After the accident occurrence repair work was taken place at the Bahanga Station and it is now completed.
