Cyclone Mocha Today Updates: Cyclone Mocha has been intensified and it is currently centered over Southeast Bay of Bengal approximately 510 km west-northwest Port Blair, as per the reports by Indian Meterological Department (IMD). As per the Met the storm is expected to cause high rainfall in the North East Region of India. While there is not serious alerts for West Bengal and Orissa. Instead, precautions should be taken while visiting near coastal areas. North Eastern Region of India where heavy rainfall is expected are the given below.

Tripura and Mizoram are expected to experience high rainfall and thunderstorms from Saturday mean from tomorrow. While, Manipur, Nagaland and some parts of Assam is expected to experience rainy weather and thunderstorms from day after tomorrow on Sunday.
In ground work for the Cyclone Mocha, the National Disaster Relief Force has deployed eight teams including 100 rescuers on standby while 200 rescuers on the ground to control the situation of areas prone to Cyclone Mocha. Taking on the precautions, the IMD has issued a advisory note asking fisherman, ships, boats and trawlers not to venture near or at into central and northeast of Bay of Bengal and north Andaman Sea until Sunday.
