Eastern Railways, Kolkata: Amar Prakash Dwivedi an IRSE (Indian Railways Service Engineer - Construction) officer from the 1987 batch has taken the oath as the General Manager of Eastern Railways at Kolkata. The Indian Railways Service Engineer officer has assumed his new role position on Monday. The officer is expected to bring his best experience and expertise into his new role as the General Manager at Eastern Railways.
Dwivedi made a debut in his career in Eastern Railways after completing B. Tech in Civil Engineering from the prestigious institution IIT in Delhi. Throughout his career, Dwivedi worked in many reputed positions like Chief Engineer in South Eastern Railways in Kolkata and Kolkata Metro Railway. Moreover, the GM also worked as a Executive Director of Public Sector Unit at Railway Board. As per sources, Amar Prakash Dwivedi also trained in high speed transports from France.
During his tenure as the CAO (Chief Adminstration Officer in Construction) at Eastern Railways, there he achieved a reputed position in commissioning of new line and double work. Prakash Dwivedi's appointment as the General Manager of the Eastern Railways is expected to bring significant change and add more glory to the Eastern Railways. With his long time experience and knowledge of the Indian Railways, it will be beneficial for the upcoming projects and works at the Eastern Railways.
