Lahore, Pakistan: The former leader of Khalistani Commando Force Paramjit Panjwar was shot dead in Lahore on 6 May 2023. The KCF head also known by the name of Malik Sardar Singh, was dead in a shooting incident in Johar Town of Lahore, Pakistan. The incident took place in the morning of 6 May 2023, approximately at 6 AM when two unidentified gunmen shot down him. As per the reports, the two gunmen openly shot him while he was walking near his house in Sunflower Society of Johar Town. After that, Panjwar was died on the spot while his bodyguards were severely injured during the incidents.
As per sources, Paramjit Panjwar was a designated terrorist and important figure in the Khalistani Commando Force. Panjwar was engaged in various illegal activities across the country and overseas. As per the news report by HT, Paramjit was involved in illegal transportation of weapons smuggling and Heroin Trafficking. Born in the Panjwar village near Taran Taran in Punjab, Paramjit joined the KFC in 1986, succeeding the position of cousin Labh Singh. During the 1990s, when Indian Security Forces eliminated Labh Singh, Paramjit took position of him and crossed over to Pakistan.
According to the sources, later Paramjit Panjwar continued to operate from Lahore where he illegally raised funds for Khalistani Commando Force. His illegal activities included drug trafficking and crossed border weapons smuggling.
Despite Pakistani government denials, Panjwar reportedly found in the Lahore city, while it was reported that his family relocated to Germany. Paramjit listed on India's most wanted list of terrorist for years. Moreover, the KCF head was considered as a significant threat to Indian Security due to his linked activities in terrorism.
