Rabindra Sarovar, Kolkata: Provoked green activists and birders protested against to perform havan at Lion Safari Park of Rabindra Sarovar Lake. Green activist expressed concern, over fire and smoke from havan can be harmful for the environment and can prove dangerous for birds. The incidents took place between the morning hours at 7-8 A.M on 30 April 2023.
Putting on hold the provoked concerns raised by environmentalist and morning walkers, the organizers of the Loin Safari Park added, it is just a small havan and it can't cause huge smoke or fire. Either Havana ritual is a very best proven way to purify the atmosphere and surrounding environment, the organizers added. The Havan ritual was taken place between the 7-8 A.M in the morning of 30 April 2023.
Various environmentalist and morning walkers raises the concern over harsh impact of smoke and fire which is caused by Havan, it cause suffers to the bio diversity of the Rabindra Sarovar environment.
As per the organizers at Loin Safari Park, the guests invited mainly were monks and people from Sanghas. As per sources, they were invited from the Ramakrishna Mission and Bharat Sevashram Sangha.
