Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh: Ex Samajwadi Party MP Atique Ahmed was shot dead with his brother Ashraf Ahmad in Prayagraj. The murders took place between 10:00 - 10:30 PM on 15 April, 2023.
Gangster-politician Atiq Ahmad and his brother Ashraf Ahmed shot dead by rivals while being taken for medical on Saturday 15 April. Atiq's son Asad Ahmad and his aide Ghulam were also shot dead in an encounter by UP police on Thursday.
The gangster turned politician Atique Ahmed shot dead. They were under the custody of U.P. Police. The gangster was earlier the M.P presented Samajwadi party.

According to sources the firing took place under gang war. The assailants were disguised as journalists. The shooters have been arrested and further interrogation will be done.
The murderers were positioned as media persons and shot the two brothers, who were about to visit for the medication purpose.
